These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Lavern (the "Service"), operated by Lavern, a limited liability company registered in Finland, with its registered address at Helsinki, Finland ("we," "us," or "our").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a binding agreement. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.
You may need to create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
You agree not to: (a) violate any applicable law or regulation; (b) infringe on the rights of others; (c) upload harmful, abusive, or unlawful content; (d) attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure; (e) use the Service for automated scraping, data mining, or similar purposes without our written consent; or (f) interfere with the operation or security of the Service.
All content, features, and functionality of the Service are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and display it as necessary to provide and improve the Service. You represent that you have the right to grant this license.
The Service uses artificial intelligence to assist with document design, analysis, and transformation. The Service does not constitute legal advice. All output generated by the Service should be reviewed by a qualified legal professional before being relied upon for any legal purpose. We make no representation that AI-generated analysis is complete, correct, or suitable for any particular legal purpose. You acknowledge that AI systems may produce errors, omissions, or inaccuracies, and that you bear sole responsibility for how you use any output from the Service.
Access to certain features requires payment via billable hours (credit packs) as described on the pricing page. All fees are stated in EUR and are non-refundable except as required by law. We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice.
We may suspend or terminate your access at our discretion if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account in the My Page settings, or by contacting us at hello@lavern.ai. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amounts you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or EUR 100, whichever is greater.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice on the Service at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes shall be resolved through the courts of Helsinki, Finland, with first-instance jurisdiction.
